Job summary

Sante Recruitment is seeking a General Physician / Geriatrician to join a regional medical service in Taree, NSW. The role offers a 0.5 FTE General Medicine and 0.5 FTE Geriatric Medicine split in a permanent capacity, with clinical variety and multidisciplinary support.

The successful candidate will deliver inpatient and outpatient care across two complementary specialties, focusing on complex medical and geriatric needs, with opportunities for teaching, research and professional development.

Qualifications

• Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) or equivalent specialist qualifications.
• Specialist registration with the Medical Board of Australia, or eligibility for specialist registration.
• Experience in General Medicine is required.
• Interest in Geriatric Medicine is preferred.
• Commitment to multidisciplinary, patient-centred care and clinical governance.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient assessment and management across General Medicine and Geriatric Medicine.
• Management of complex multi-system presentations and frailty.
• Clinical decision-making and treatment planning with multidisciplinary teams.
• Teaching and supervision of junior medical staff.
• Contribution to quality improvement and governance.
