Job summary

Commonwealth Bank of Australia is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to advance ML, GenAI and Agentic AI capabilities across the Customer Service Network. You’ll deliver hands-on models at scale, influence data strategy, and shape the data landscape with a focus on governance, risk and responsible AI.

You’ll partner with product, technology and business to move from experimentation to production, ensuring robust monitoring, explainability and measurable impact on banking experiences.

Qualifications

• Deep hands-on data science experience with ML model development.
• Experience deploying GenAI and Agentic AI solutions at scale.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and MLOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and productionise ML, GenAI and Agentic AI solutions to solve business problems.
• Translate customer service challenges into predictive or Agentic solutions.
• Shape GenAI opportunities across customer service and branch journeys.
• Explain complex concepts clearly to senior stakeholders.
