Job summary

Stake is building a modern data platform in Sydney. You will craft scalable data pipelines, ensure data quality and governance, and empower teams with self-serve datasets. You’ll collaborate with engineers, product managers and analysts to shape the data landscape used by thousands of customers.

You’ll work in a hybrid model with three days in the Sydney office, joining a high-impact team focused on product analytics, experimentation and growth.

Qualifications

• Experience with modern data technologies on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Strong proficiency in SQL and data manipulation.
• Working knowledge of Python or another programming language.
• Experience with data warehousing and data modelling concepts.
• Understanding of data governance principles and best practices.
• Experience with reporting/visualisation tools (Metabase preferred).
• Desire to stay up to date with GCP developments and AI.
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build reliable, scalable data pipelines foundational to operations and decisions.
• Improve data quality, observability, governance and documentation across the business.
• Enable self-service data capabilities and well-designed datasets for product, operations and commercial teams.
• Collaborate with engineers and analysts to define scalable data models supporting business outcomes.
• Improve performance, efficiency and maintainability as data volumes grow.
• Help establish engineering standards, tooling and platform capabilities.
