Job summary

NCS Australia seeks a highly skilled GCP AI Engineer to join our Intelligent Contact team. You will move beyond scripted automation to architect autonomous AI systems for enterprise-scale customer interactions, using Vertex AI and advanced models.

You will lead high-reasoning agent development, implement real-time data integration, and drive scalable MLOps while mentoring junior engineers in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in building high-reasoning conversational agents.
• Experience with AI architectures integrating retrieval and knowledge graphs.
• Experience leading AI/ML initiatives in enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

• Autonomous Agent Architecture: design and orchestrate high-reasoning conversational agents on Google Cloud (Vertex AI, Gemini).
• Advanced RAG & Knowledge Retrieval: blueprint production-ready RAG architectures and integrate Knowledge Graphs.
• Complex Dialogue Management: build fluid, non-linear dialogue state management.
• Real-Time Data Integration: implement function calling and secure API tool use for real-time data access.
• Enterprise Scaling & MLOps: productionize and monitor ML workflows with guardrails.
• Technical Leadership: guide architectural decisions and mentor team members.
