Job summary

MedRecruit Limited in Darwin invites applications for a Consultant Gastroenterologist / Gastroenterology Fellow / SHMO – Gastroenterology. This fixed-term full-time role involves inpatient, outpatient, hepatology, and endoscopy care across Darwin hospitals.

You will manage a broad clinical caseload, participate in endoscopy and on-call rosters, and supervise junior doctors while contributing to teaching and governance.

Qualifications

• Eligible for AHPRA registration.
• FRACP or final-year Advanced Trainee or comparable overseas-trained specialist.
• Experience in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy.
• Strong clinical, communication, and leadership skills.
• Commitment to multidisciplinary care and Aboriginal health outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide gastroenterology and hepatology services.
• Manage inpatient and outpatient workloads.
