Job summary

Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust invites applications from Post-Foundation, Core and Specialty trainees to join as Fellow in Clinical Teaching / Medical Education / Gastro Programme. The post supports undergraduate education and gastroenterology training across the trust, with a 12-month fixed term (40% FTE in education, 60% FTE in clinical work).

Qualifications

• Must be GMC registered and have completed a Foundation Equivalent Programme.
• Existing right to live and work in the UK at time of application.
• At least 6 months NHS experience and experience in Gastroenterology.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of educational theory and teaching methodologies.
• Build a portfolio of teaching experiences across bedside and classroom settings.
• Use teaching aids and resources (PowerPoint, video embedding, e-materials).
• Supervise and provide feedback to undergraduate medical students.
• Plan and deliver well-structured teaching sessions and assessments.
• Engage in educational development and research design in medical education.
