Job summary

THE ICONIC in Sydney is seeking a Garment Technician for our Own Brand team. You will create Tech Packs, measure garments, lead fit sessions and advise on fabric and construction to ensure consistent fit and quality across suppliers.

With 3–4 years' experience in fast fashion, you will collaborate with design, sourcing and suppliers in China, manage critical paths, and help improve production processes while maintaining THE ICONIC's high-quality standards.

Qualifications

3-4 years’ experience in a similar role ideally in the fast fashion industry.
Tertiary education in design, pattern making and grading is essential.
Strong knowledge of garment production processes, including pattern making, fit, quality control, and fabric testing.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of quality.
Experience working across a variety of fabrics & categories is essential.
Knowledge of Excel and Outlook necessary.
Excellent understanding of critical path and timelines, with amazing time management skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills

THE ICONIC Commercial team is data, product and trend orientated. Our Commercial team is customer obsessed and delivers the future of fashion through curating a customer centric platform of choice. The Category Buying team work together with the Planning team to drive sales, maximise profit, manage intake and ensure that of the moment and forward-thinking ranges engage THE ICONIC customer. Working closely with the Finance team to deliver THE ICONIC and GFG objectives and Operations teams to ensure inventory forecasts are accurate.

We are currently looking for a Garment Technician to join our Own Brand team.

What's involved...

Creating initial Tech Packs in collaboration with design for sample development, including detailed garment construction instructions, measurements, and fabric requirements.
Measure garments and provide feedback on quality & make ensuring all suppliers are adhering to THE ICONICS fit & make standards.
Organise & lead fit sessions ensuring consistent fit & sizing.
Support the designers by providing expert knowledge of fabrics, garment construction and performance
Liaising daily with suppliers in China in regard to fit comments, re-fits, fabrics, finishes and grading
Meet CP deadlines
Approving fabric test reports
Final bulk garment inspection approvals in accordance to set guidelines
Analyse styles with high return rate to continuously improve fit & quality
Continuously assess and improve production processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain high-quality standard

About You...
