Job summary

gforce Employment + Recruitment is seeking a reliable Rapid Response Labourer/Driver for a 7-week assignment in Ballarat, starting Monday 3 November. The role involves tree maintenance, pruning, MR truck driving and general labouring as part of a rapid response crew.

Working 9 days fortnightly, 7:15am–4:15pm, Monday to Friday with no weekend work. Applicants must have an MR licence and be able to start with reliable transport to the depot by 7:15am.

Qualifications

• Hold a current MR truck licence and driving experience.
• Previous gardening and outdoor labouring experience preferred.
• Arboriculture or tree maintenance experience highly regarded.
• Experience operating small plant or equipment such as a chainsaw is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Respond to urgent maintenance requests as part of a rapid response crew.
• Carry out tree pruning and general tree maintenance duties.
• Drive an MR truck to and from job sites.
• Collect and clear branches and green waste; assist with grounds maintenance.
• Follow safety practices and work collaboratively with the team.

gforce is currently seeking a reliable Rapid Response Labourer/ Driver to join a rapid response crew for a 7-week assignment, commencing Monday 3rd of November.

This hands-on, outdoor role will involve tree maintenance, pruning, MR truck driving and general labouring duties as part of a team responding to urgent maintenance needs.

About the role:

• Full-time hours working a 9-day fortnight, with every second Monday off.
• Monday to Friday, 7:15am-4:15pm.
• No weekend work.

Key Responsibilities

• Responding to urgent and reactive maintenance requests.
• Tree pruning and general tree maintenance.
• Driving an MR truck to and from job sites.
• Collecting and clearing branches and other green waste.
• Assisting with gardening, grounds maintenance and general labouring duties.
• Following safe work practices and working collaboratively with the crew.

o Be Successful in This Role, You Will Have

• A current MR truck licence and driving experience (essential).
• Previous gardening, grounds maintenance and outdoor labouring experience.
• Arboriculture or tree maintenance experience highly regarded.
• Experience operating small plant and equipment, such as a chainsaw, highly regarded.
• Good physical fitness and the ability to undertake manual labour.
• A reliable, safety-focused attitude and the ability to follow instructions.
• Reliable transport and the ability to get to the depot by 7:15am.
• Willingness to undergo a police check, medical assessment and drug and alcohol screening.
• Steel-capped boots and hi-vis workwear.
