Job summary

Jardins Haute Couture in Sydney is seeking an experienced, hands-on gardener to lead daily field operations for a small crew. You will be on site each day, setting the standard for quality and acting as the main contact for clients.

Requirements include at least 2 years' team-leader experience in gardening, a manual driver's license, and comfort with physical outdoor work. There is real potential to grow with the business as it expands.

Responsibilities

• Work onsite each day alongside a labourer, doing the physical gardening work together.

• Carry out hands-on gardening work including pruning, planting, lawn care, mulching, and weeding, using mowers, brushcutters, hedge trimmers, and hand tools.

• Keep vehicles, tools, and equipment ready to go.
• Keep basic records of hours, materials, and site notes.
• Run toolbox talks and keep the team working safely.

About Us

Jardins Haute Couture (JHC) is a growing garden and landscaping maintenance business based in Sydney. We're building a team that takes real pride in the quality of their work.

About the Role

We're after an experienced, hands-on gardener ready to lead. You'll be on site each day running daily field operations for a small crew (working alongside a labourer/offsider), setting the standard for quality, and acting as the main point of contact for clients on site.

We're looking for at least 2 years' experience as a team leader.

We meet as a team every Tuesday, and we're serious about growing the right people from within. This is a genuine stepping stone as the business grows, with real potential to take on more crews and responsibility over time.

What You'll Do

• Work onsite each day alongside a labourer, doing the physical gardening work together
• Lead and support a small team of gardeners and offsiders
• Allocate daily tasks and check work meets our standard

Work Location

This role is 100% onsite and outdoors, moving between residential and commercial garden sites across Sydney's lower north shore and eastern suburbs, including Mosman, Cremorne Point, Kurraba Point, Hunters Hill, Longueville, North Ryde, Manly, Bellevue Hill, Elizabeth Bay, Vaucluse, Woollahra, and Cronulla. You'll be on your feet doing physical work all day, not behind a desk.

Essential Requirements

• At least 2 years' experience as a team leader in gardening or horticulture
• Manual driver's license
• Comfortable with regular lifting (up to ~20kg), prolonged standing, bending, and working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Current Australian driver's licence and willingness to undergo a Police Check (National Police Certificate)
