Job summary

Aussie Parks and Gardens Group is hiring for multiple landscaping roles across the Sunshine Coast, including mower operators, brushcutters and gardeners. Work is casual with pay based on role, experience and qualifications.

Mon-Fri, start early and finish early, with apprenticeships available to learn while you earn. Roles at Tanawha and Noosaville depots involve ongoing commercial work with a focus on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Experience with zero-turn mowers and out-front mowers preferred.
• Strong brushcutting, edging and weed management skills required.
• Ability to prune, hedge, weed and perform chemical weed control as needed.
• Confident operating standard landscaping tools and small machinery.

About the Role

We’re currently hiring multiple mower operators, brushcutters, and garden maintenance crew members for ongoing commercial work across the Sunshine Coast region.

Preferred applicants will have:

• Zero-turn & out-front mower experience (highly regarded)
• Strong brushcutting and edging skills
• Experience with pruning, hedging, weeding, and chemical weed eradication
• Confidence using standard landscaping tools and small machinery

Key Duties

• Commercial mowing (zero-turn & out-front)
• Brushcutting, edging, and general turf maintenance
• Garden bed maintenance – including weeding, pruning, hedging, and mulching
• Weed spraying and plant health management
• Safe operation and basic maintenance of machinery

You’ll Need

• White Card (Construction Induction)
• Open car licence (no interlocks or learner permits)
• Reliable transport to depot or site
• Proficient in English (for safety communication)
• Physically fit, punctual, reliable and ready to work in all weather
• Ability to follow direction, lead by example and safely contribute to a team environment

Preference given to those with:

• ACDC Certification
• TMI / Traffic Control or other relevant tickets
• Certificate III in Horticulture (or related qualification in landscaping, parks/gardens, or turf management)
• Prior experience in commercial landscaping or council contracts
