Job summary

Lancemore Cleveland Estate is seeking a Gardener to maintain and present the gardens, wedding sites and outdoor spaces across the Hotel. This hands-on role covers grounds maintenance on a large property, excluding vines and viticulture.

The successful candidate will bring experience from a similar role, a keen eye for detail, and knowledge of modern horticulture techniques. Join a supportive team in a premier estate setting near Lancefield, Victoria.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional presentation of the gardens, wedding sites and outdoor spaces.
• Grounds maintenance excluding vines and viticulture.
• Hands-on role managing a large garden property.
• Knowledge of lawn mowing, edging, pruning, topiary, fertilizing, planting, turfing, pest and disease control.
• Make recommendations on grounds and assist long-term planning.

Cleveland Estate, situated in the historic country township of Lancefield has a brilliant opportunity available for a talented professional, Gardener to join us at our stunning, iconic property.

ABOUT THE ROLE

• Deliver exceptional presentation of the gardens, wedding sites and outdoor spaces across the Hotel
• Grounds maintenance exclusive of vines and viticulture
• Hands on role with a solid understanding of managing a large garden property.
• Knowledge of modern techniques in lawn mowing and edging, pruning trees and shrubs, clipping of topiary, fertilizing, planting, turfing, pest and disease control
• Make recommendations on the Hotel grounds and assist with the long-term planning and development of the complex.

• Success in a similar role and exposure to a large scale garden operation
• An acute eye for detail and development of solutions to ensure the high standard is maintained.
• A good working knowledge of various types of associated equipment
• Ability to work under pressure in a varied, fast paced environment, by taking initiative and working collaboratively
• Positive mindset and a can-do attitude
