Job summary

Harbour At Home in Coffs Harbour is seeking a casual Gardener to join our local family business. This hands-on role involves working outdoors across client homes in Coffs Harbour and surrounding areas, with independence and pride in delivering tidy outdoor spaces.

You will mow, edge, use a blower vac, pressure clean and perform general maintenance, while safely handling tools and equipment. A vehicle, insurance, police check, and First Aid/CPR certification are required or obtainable.

Qualifications

• A suitable registered vehicle to transport equipment.
• Police Check issued within 3 months of commencement.
• First Aid & CPR certification or willingness to obtain.
• Confidence completing general lawn and garden maintenance.
• Love for outdoor work and gardening.

Responsibilities

• Lawn mowing, edging and whipper snipping.
• Using a blower vac and keeping outdoor areas tidy.
• Pressure cleaning.
• Assisting with relevant general maintenance tasks around the home.
• Safely using and caring for gardening tools and equipment.
• Occasionally support clients with community access or other practical tasks.

We are one of the only services in the area to facilitate a monthly, fully paid 2-hour staff meeting. This meeting provides an opportunity for connection, support, and training.

We provide access to the mandatory competencies such as CPR training and manual handling training every year at no cost to the employee.

About The Role

We are looking for a casual Gardener to join our Harbour At Home team.

This is a hands‑on role for someone who enjoys working outdoors, likes taking pride in a job well done and can work independently across different client homes.

You’ll be supporting clients across Coffs Harbour and surrounding areas, travelling from south of Coffs Harbour through to Woolgoolga.

Your responsibilities include:

• Lawn mowing, edging and whipper snipping
• Using a blower vac and keeping outdoor areas tidy
• Pressure cleaning
• Assisting with relevant general maintenance tasks around the home
• Safely using and caring for gardening tools and equipment
• From time to time, you may also support clients with community access or other practical tasks, helping them stay connected and independent at home and in their community.

You will be provided with all necessary equipment such as a blower vac, pressure cleaner, and safety gear including hi-vis, hat and helmet.

About You

You’re someone who genuinely enjoys being outdoors and takes pride in leaving a garden looking better than when you arrived.

You’re reliable, self‑motivated and comfortable working independently across different client homes. Just as importantly, you understand that the work you do helps our clients feel safe and comfortable in their own homes.

If you have the following, we want to hear from you:

• A suitable registered vehicle, such as a ute or car with trailer, to transport equipment, plus comprehensive insurance
• A current Police Check (issued within 3 months of commencement)
• Current First Aid & CPR certification, or willingness to obtain
• Confidence completing general lawn and garden maintenance
• A genuine love for working outdoors and gardening
