Job summary

Capalaba Tavern in Queensland is seeking a hands-on Gaming Manager to run the gaming room, lead the host team, and uphold strict compliance with Queensland liquor and gaming regulations.

You will know the regulars, mentor staff, ensure excellent customer service, and maintain a safe, welcoming environment on every shift. A current RSA and RSGas are required.

Gaming Manager | Capalaba Tavern

Are you an experienced gaming specialist who knows how to run a top-tier room, maintain airtight compliance, and drive exceptional customer service? The Capalaba Tavern is searching for a dedicated, results-driven Gaming Manager to take command of our bustling gaming room and lead our dedicated host team.

This is a focused, high-impact specialist role. We need a gaming leader who takes total ownership of the floor, someone who understands machine performance, sets the standard for warm player engagement, and manages all daily operational requirements with precision. You will lead from the front line, fostering a welcoming atmosphere for our regulars, maintaining absolute compliance across all QLD liquor and gaming regulations, and mentoring a high-energy room host crew.

A day in the life of a Gaming Manager:

• Know the regulars by name and make them feel right at home
• Work closely with the Publican to keep the room running smoothly, safely, and within all the rules
• Share your gaming know-how and help your team be the best in the biz
• Bring the good vibes, great service, and friendly smiles every shift

Inherent requirements:

• This is a hands-on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock, kegs, and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.

About you:

• You’ve been in the gaming room world for a while, as an attendant, supervisor, or manager
• You’ve learned from great managers and are ready to step up
• You’ve got the confidence, pride, and people skills to be the face of the gaming room
• You understand compliance and safe gaming inside out
• You’ve got a current RSA and RSGas per state requirements
