Australian Venue Co. is seeking experienced Gaming Managers to lead gaming operations across Queensland venues including Airlie Beach Hotel | Reef Gateway.

The role focuses on strong commercial results, guest experience, and compliance, with oversight of gaming rooms and promotion activities. You will manage daily operations, coach teams, ensure safe and compliant practices, and contribute to a thriving, guest‑centric gaming environment across multiple venues.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Gaming Manager, Gaming Supervisor or senior gaming team member.
• Strong commercial understanding of gaming performance and KPIs.
• Knowledge of Queensland gaming compliance and responsible gambling requirements.
• Proven ability to lead, coach and develop a team.
• Strong communication, organisation and customer-service skills.
• Hands-on leadership style.
• Flexibility to work peak trading periods, including evenings and weekends.
• Current Queensland RSA and RSG certificates.
• Current RMLV and Approved Manager approval, or willingness to obtain them.
• A current Gaming Nominee licence, or eligibility and willingness to obtain it.
• Customer Liaison Officer experience is desirable but not essential.

• Support gaming promotions and customer engagement initiatives.

• Maintain harm-minimisation and self-exclusion procedures.
• Manage operational audits, cash controls and reporting.
• Recruit, train, coach and develop gaming team members.
• Work closely with the Venue Manager and leadership teams.
• Deliver a welcoming and responsible guest experience.

About the role

As Gaming Manager, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day operation and performance of the gaming room at your venue.
