Job summary

The Wests Group Australia is seeking a casual Bar & Gaming team member at Wests Mayfield to deliver outstanding service to members and guests. You will assist with gaming machine operations, take drink orders, reset jackpot wins, operate Tab and Keno terminals, and keep the bar area clean and secure.

You should be available for a rotating roster including Fridays, weekends, and peak periods. RSA and RCG certifications are mandatory, and probity checks will be funded by The Wests Group.

About the opportunity

Our Bar and Gaming team is at the heart of the Wests experience. We’re currently looking for a casual team member to join us at Wests Mayfield, helping us deliver outstanding service to our members and guests.

You’ll be part of a team that keeps our indoor and outdoor spaces, including designated smoking zones, welcoming, safe, and enjoyable – from assisting with service and enquiries, through to ensuring our venues remain clean and inviting.

Here’s what you will be doing:

• Delivering friendly, professional service
• Assisting with gaming machine operations
• Taking and delivering drink orders to machines
• Resetting and paying out jackpot wins
• Operating Tab and Keno terminals
• Keeping your workstation and equipment clean and tidy
• Handling tills and cash transactions
• Collecting glasses and returning them to the bar

You will need to be available across a rotating roster, including Friday nights, weekends, and busy peak times like summer and holiday periods. These are our busiest seasons, so being part of the action is key.

Mandatory certifications: Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) and Responsible Conduct of Gambling (RCG).

As part of our recruitment process, you’ll need to complete standard probity checks including, but not limited to, right-to-work verification, Criminal History Check, and reference checks. These will be facilitated and funded by The Wests Group.
