Job summary

UnitingCare Queensland is seeking a Gambling Help Community Educator in Rockhampton to deliver education and awareness programs focused on safe gambling and harm minimisation. You will work across communities, delivering engaging sessions and building referral networks to improve wellbeing.

The role requires a Certificate Level IV in Community Services, strong communication skills, and the ability to travel within a mobile, community-based environment.

Qualifications

• Certificate Level IV in Community Services or equivalent qualification.
• Experience developing and delivering training, education or community engagement programs.
• Demonstrated case management skills with a focus on outcomes, data and practice improvement.
• Strong relationship-building and networking skills.
• The ability to work autonomously in a mobile, community-based environment.
• Sound analytical, organisational and time management skills.
• A current Driver's Licence and willingness to travel to meet community needs.
• A current Working with Children Check (Blue Card).
• ASIST training or willingness to complete the training.

Gambling Help Community Educator | Gambling Help Services | Rockhampton

• Employment Term: Maximum Term to 31 December 2026 | Full-Time (38 hours per week)
• Location: Rockhampton
• Remuneration: $46.70 p/hr + Super + NFP Salary Packaging (save tax and increase your take home pay)

The Gambling Help Service provides counselling and support to individuals, couples and families experiencing gambling-related harmAs a Gambling Help Community Educator, you'll play a vital role working with clients and the community to provide education and information, focusing on empowerment and resilience outcomes for the client, family and community wellbeing. You'll work across communities to deliver engaging training and awareness programs that promote safer gambling practices and strengthen wellbeing outcomes.
