Job summary

Simonds Homes is seeking a Gallery Sales Estimator to turn customer selections into accurate, commercially sound pricing at our Collins Square Docklands office. This role focuses on delivering precise estimates for variations and working closely with suppliers to secure pricing and support the Sales and Interior Design teams.

You will build product and construction knowledge, solve pricing challenges, and contribute to a smooth customer journey in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Estimating experience within residential building and construction.
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to read architectural plans and soil reports and understand cost impact.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Ready to take your estimating skills into a fast-paced, customer-focused environment?

Join our Gallery team based in our new Collins Square office in Docklands. As a Gallery Sales Estimator, you’ll turn customer selections into accurate, commercially sound pricing, helping keep the customer journey moving.

You’ll prepare estimates for variations, work closely with suppliers and merchants to secure pricing, and partner with our Sales and Interior Design teams to deliver the right outcomes for our customers.

This is a fast-paced role where no two days are the same. You’ll have the opportunity to use your estimating expertise, build your product and construction knowledge, solve problems and make a real impact across the customer journey.

WHO YOU ARE

You’re a switched-on estimator who enjoys working at pace, solving problems and getting the detail right. You know your numbers, understand residential construction and thrive when working with people.

You’ll bring:

• Estimating experience, ideally within residential building and construction.
• A strong eye for detail, with excellent numerical and analytical skills.
• The ability to read architectural plans and soil reports and understand the impact on costing.
• Strong construction knowledge, including a working understanding of the NCC/BCA.
• Great communication skills, with the confidence to work with customers, Sales Consultants, Interior Design Consultants and suppliers.
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach; you don’t wait for problems to solve themselves.
• Excellent organisation and time management, with the ability to juggle priorities and hit deadlines.
• A collaborative mindset, while being equally comfortable working autonomously.

A Certificate IV or Diploma in Building & Construction would be highly regarded, as would experience in a residential Gallery or interior design environment.
