Optiver invites pre-penultimate university students to join the FutureFocus program in Sydney, designed to spark careers in development, trading or research within a leading tech-driven trading firm. You will explore trading fundamentals, engage with our in-house education team, and have a chance for a direct offer for the 2028/29 Summer Internship Program.

Program streams include Technology and Trading & Research.

Qualifications

• Pre-penultimate student eligible for program (graduating 2029 or 2030).
• All degree backgrounds considered.
• Australian or New Zealand university students eligible.

Responsibilities

• Participate in an immersive five-day FutureFocus program to learn trading fundamentals and tech skills.
• Engage with in-house education team, former traders and engineers.
• Explore pathways as a developer, trader or researcher and gain mentorship from senior staff.
