Optiver invites university students to join our FutureFocus program in Sydney, a five-day immersive experience designed to spark your potential as a future developer, trader or researcher. You’ll learn from our in-house education team and gain exposure to market making, trading principles, and cutting-edge tech.

Eligible pre-penultimate students graduating in 2029 or 2030 may receive a direct offer for our 2028/29 Summer Internship.

Qualifications

• Pre-penultimate university student (graduating 2029 or 2030).
• Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or on an Australian student visa.
• Strong quantitative and logical reasoning with a collaborative mindset.
• Interested in trading and technology.

Responsibilities

• Participate in in-house education sessions on trading and market making.
• Explore technology and trading pathways in a hands-on program.
• Engage with mentors and current graduates to build career skills.
