FHG – Aidacare Furniture Division in Loganholme, Queensland, is seeking a hands-on Furniture Pre-Upholsterer for the manufacturing team. The role focuses on prepping lounges and armchairs for final upholstery, with emphasis on quality, finish and timely production.

We value practical experience in pre-upholstery or upholstery, strong use of workshop tools, and a proactive, team-oriented mindset. The position is permanent full-time within our factory operations.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in furniture pre-upholstery and/or upholstery.
• Confident using woodworking power tools, staple guns and workshop equipment.
• Good hand-eye coordination and ability to produce consistent workmanship.
• Reliable, motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Able to work at a fast pace while maintaining quality and accuracy.
• Good communication and ability to work collaboratively with others.
• Understanding of safe work practices when operating power tools and equipment.
• Physically capable of prolonged standing and manual handling, including heavy lifting.
• Willingness to assist across different areas of factory operations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare lounges and armchairs for upholstery, ensuring frames are ready for the next stage of production.
• Install, remove and replace webbing and furniture covers as required.
• Carry out pre-upholstery tasks, including webbing installation and foam preparation.
• Operate staple guns, power tools and other factory equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a consistent standard of workmanship and attention to detail.
• Work collaboratively with other factory team members to maintain production schedules and workflow.
• Assist in other areas of factory operations as directed by the Factory Manager.
