Job summary

Canfreight in Canberra is seeking a casual furniture delivery offsider/assistant to join our small, friendly team. You will help deliver and assemble furniture across ACT and surrounding region, working 3–5 days per week from Tuesday to Saturday.

The role is hands-on and physical, requiring lifting heavy items, reading assembly instructions, using basic battery tools, and communicating clearly with customers. We value reliability, service, and a positive, collaborative work environment.

Qualifications

• Casual role delivering and assembling furniture within ACT.
• Able to lift heavy furniture and carry out deliveries to customer homes.
• Reads assembly instructions and uses basic battery-powered tools.

Canfreight is looking for a casual furniture delivery offsider/assistant to help with delivering and assembling of furniture within ACT and surrounding region. Work for this role is currently 3-5 days per week between Tuesday to Saturday.

We're a locally owned company with a small close knit team providing very high level of service, reliability, and communication. We service many of the major furniture retailers within Canberra ensuring their customers are left satisfied with their purchases and eager to come back for more!

We require someone who is able to:

Lift & deliver sometimes heavy furniture into customers homes

Read and interpret assembly instructions

Assemble furniture carefully and efficiently

Use basic battery power tools

SMS customers, read online run sheets, communicate effectively

While getting into the grind and doing the hard work we always maintain a friendly and fun working environment both on the job and with regular out of work events.
