Job summary

Delaware North Australia is hiring a full-time Functions Set-up Supervisor to join our team at the iconic MCG. The role reports to the Set-up Manager and works with the functions, sales and operations teams to deliver exceptional guest service at a premier sporting and entertainment venue.

You will coordinate setup, pack-down and service across dining areas, meeting rooms and event spaces, ensuring furniture, crockery and service areas are correctly arranged and inspected for readiness.

Qualifications

• Experience in functions supervision.
• Experience in events is beneficial.
• Strong computer literacy, communication, organisation, and attention to detail.
• Flexible hours including public holidays and weekends to meet business demands.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise event setup, service, and pack-down activities.
• Set up dining areas, cafés, meeting rooms, conference spaces, banquet halls, and event venues according to client requirements.
• Ensure tables, chairs, linen, crockery, cutlery, glassware, buffet stations, coffee stations, and service areas are correctly arranged.
• Conduct pre-event inspections to ensure venue presentation and operational readiness; manage event timelines and schedules.

As the Functions Set-Up Supervisor, you will be reporting in the Set-up Manager and working closely with the functions, sales, and operations teams, including kitchens.
