Job summary

Moon Dog Brewing Pty is seeking a proactive Functions and Reservations Coordinator to drive function sales and coordinate bookings across our Preston HQ and multiple venues. You will be the main contact for inquiries, handle phone traffic, manage bookings end-to-end, and work with kitchen and venue teams to ensure flawless events.

Ideal candidates will have excellent customer service, sales focus, and strong organisational skills.

Functions and Reservations Coordinator - Moon Dog

Moon Dog is an independent beverage producer and hospitality operation and we're growing at a rapid pace, with five awesome venues and another opening in Geelong at the end of the year! We love bringing the very best in food, beverages and entertainment to the good people of Victoria and beyond!!

We are looking for a Full Time Functions and Reservations Coordinator to help sell, book and coordinate our functions!

Based at our HQ in Preston, and working closely with the Hospitality Team and reporting to the Group Functions Manager, you will:

Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries.

Efficiently deal with all incoming phone calls

Contact inbound sales inquiries via phone in order to secure function bookings

Take a solutions focused approach to inquiries in order to maximise function bookings and revenue

Manage the entire booking process, from initial inquiry to handover to venue team for execution

Collaborate with kitchen and front-of-house management to ensure functions are executed to a high standard.

Oversee table bookings and reservations.

The ideal candidate will:

Have exceptional customer service and phone skills.

Take a sales based approach to securing functions revenue

Have an understanding of restaurant and bar operations.

Have a positive, friendly, and can-do attitude. Work well in a team.

Have a strong communication and organisational abilities.

Have an ability to prioritize tasks and attention to detail.

Have experience with Outlook, SEVENROOMS and iVvy is advantageous (but not required)

Have a current drivers license and own transport and be able to get yourself to our other venues when required

Be incredibly organised and able to manage a busy email inbox as well as inbound phone calls

This role will be on a full time, permanent, salaried contract. Working mostly 9am-5pm Mon-Fri, there will be some early evening work required for client venue walk throughs etc. (This will be included in your 38 hours, not additional). The role is based at our offices in Preston, but reasonable travel to our other venues will be required.

A start date will be negotiated in line with your needs, immediate start is possible.
