communicable diseases, safeguarding their drinking water, developing the best health, wellbeing and care facilities in the world, being at the forefront of mental health and
wellbeing treatment or accelerating medical research. It’s all part of the way we partner with the community to help every individual lead a healthy life.

About the role:

  • Research on previously occurred issues, perform root cause analysis for recurring issues and recommend preventive measures.
  • Collaborate with developers, vendors, and teams to implement fixes and improvements.
  • Perform initial investigation, analysis and triage of application issues, determining business impact and coordinating resolution activities.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge articles, troubleshooting guides, support procedures and user documentation to improve support outcomes and preserve organisational knowledge.
  • Participate in testing activities associated with application enhancements, patches, upgrades and production releases.
  • Build effective working relationships with health service representatives, vendors and internal stakeholders to support high-quality service delivery.
  • Participate in after-hours support and on‑call rotations as required.

Qualifications / Specialist Expertise

  • A tertiary qualification in fields related to Information Technology or relevant experience in the Health Information Technology sector.
  • ITIL Foundation certification or equivalent understanding of IT service management practices.
  • Demonstrated experience in using and supporting Oracle E-Business Suite, particularly Finance, Procurement, Inventory and Supply Chain modules, preferably within a health service or similarly complex environment.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Procure‑to‑Pay (P2P), Accounts Payable, Inventory Management, General Ledger and Financial Reporting business processes.
  • Experience supporting application testing activities including system testing, regression testing, release validation and user acceptance testing.
  • Experience developing and maintaining knowledge articles, support procedures and user documentation.
  • Experience coordinating issue resolution and service improvements with business stakeholders, software vendors and technical support teams.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the Victorian public health sector operating environment and the use of digital systems to support procurement, supply chain financial operational workflows.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to investigate complex application issues, leverage knowledge bases and historical incidents, identify trends and recurring problems, and apply lessons learned to improve service outcomes and prevent future occurrences.
  • Experience supporting business applications in a production environment, including incident, service request and problem management.
  • Demonstrated experience using IT Service Management (ITSM) tools to log, monitor, prioritise and resolve incidents and service requests, while providing timely and accurate status updates to stakeholders.
  • Ability to undertake initial investigation and analysis of application issues, identify patterns or recurring problems, and contribute to root cause analysis and continuous improvement activities.
  • Experience working with technical teams, vendors or external partners to coordinate issue resolution and system improvements.
  • Understanding of the importance of data accuracy, statutory reporting, billing or regulatory requirements in a health sector context.

What we offer:
