Job summary

St Marys & St Clair Anglican Church in Western Sydney seeks an Assistant Minister with a heart for youth, families and the next generation. The role combines pastoral leadership for the St Clair congregation with parish‑wide ministry oversight, focusing on youth and family discipleship and healthy church growth.

You will work under the Senior Minister, shepherding youth, young adults and families while partnering with a part‑time Children's Minister and parish teams.

Qualifications

• Theological training and/or theological degree required.
• Experience in youth ministry and disciple‑making, with a track record of pastoral care.
• Strong Biblically grounded teaching and ability to preach from Scripture.
• A servant‑hearted, collaborative leader who builds teams and mentors others.

Responsibilities

• Lead the St Clair 10am congregation within the parish vision.
• Preach approximately twice monthly, mainly at St Clair.
• Grow Saints Youth and extend youth leadership and youth ministry impact.
• Strengthen pathways from children’s ministry into youth and the broader discipleship life.
• Develop and lead the young adult group and support the Children’s Minister.
• Encourage Growth Groups and one‑to‑one discipleship across the parish.
• Equip parishioners for ministry and develop future ministry leaders.
• Contribute to parish ministry, combined services and pastoral care.
