Job summary

Vets Central Pty in Townsville, Australia is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly team. The role focuses on delivering high-quality nursing care, surgical and imaging support, and attentive client service in a positive clinic environment.

We offer a full-time 4-day work week (7:15am–5:15pm) with limited Saturday coverage, above award rates, and access to ongoing professional development via the VC Learning Academy. We value work-life balance and a supportive team culture.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing is desirable but not essential.
• 1–3 years of veterinary clinic experience desirable.
• Perform nursing tasks including surgical & imaging procedures, emergencies and critical care.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a high-performing team.

The Position – our ideal candidate

• Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent) is desirable, but not essential.
• Previous experience in a veterinary clinic is desirable (1 - 3 years).
• Efficiently complete general nursing tasks, including but not limited to;
• surgical & imaging procedures,
• emergencies, and critical care patients.
• Have high standards and attention to detail, with exceptional customer service and strong communication skills.
• Motivated and positive can-do attitude.
• The ability towork independentlyand as part ofa high performing team.
