Qualifications

• Willingness to learn and develop skills in stone masonry and construction trades.
• Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour tasks, including heavy lifting.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Driver's licence is advantageous for site mobility.
• White Card (Construction Induction Certificate) may be required or obtained.
• Qualifications in construction or building trades are preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Assisting experienced stone masons with cutting, shaping and finishing stone materials.
• Preparing work areas and ensuring materials, tools and equipment are organised and readily available.
• Mixing and applying mortar, adhesives and sealants for stone installation.
• Helping transport, position and secure stone materials during installation.
• Cleaning and finishing stone surfaces to achieve the desired quality.
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Supporting the team with general labouring duties and site preparation.
• Operating and maintaining basic masonry equipment and tools safely.
