Job summary

BuildRight Construction AU is seeking an experienced Stonemason for a full-time role in Queensland. You will demonstrate genuine hands-on expertise in stone fabrication and installation, delivering finished stone products to a professional standard.

You will work on projects involving benchtops, splashbacks and other custom stone installations, translating technical specifications into accurate, high-quality results with meticulous attention to detail and safety.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret technical drawings, plans and project specifications.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications independently.
• Proven practical knowledge of specialised stonemasonry tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret technical drawings, plans and project specifications.
• Accurately measure stone materials and determine cutting requirements.
• Cut, shape, polish and finish stone to project specifications.
• Fabricate and install stone benchtops and splashbacks.
• Install stone features including fireplaces and barbecues.
• Check measurements and finished work for accuracy and quality.
• Identify practical issues and make adjustments during installation.
• Work with installation and construction teams to complete projects efficiently.
• Operate specialised stone fabrication and installation equipment.
• Maintain tools, machinery and equipment in safe working condition.
• Follow workplace safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment.
• Deliver consistent workmanship across different stone installation projects.
