Qualifications

• Approval to teach special education and/or experience teaching students with Autism and Moderate Intellectual Disabilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate effectively within the team, fostering a culture of support for our students.
• Highly-developed skills in behavioural management, including the implementation of positive behavioural support systems, with a focus on student safety and wellbeing.
• Willingness and capability to teach across Life Skills curriculum, including Life Skills Stage 4 Creative Arts (Music and Art).

Responsibilities

• Teach across Life Skills curriculum within a mainstream high school setting.
• Contribute to the rotational teaching model across classes in the Support Unit.
• Collaborate with Support Unit staff to support inclusive education and wellbeing.
