Job summary

Model Farms High School is seeking a dedicated Teacher Special Education to join our Support Unit and teach across a rotational model to multiple classes in 2027. You will contribute to an inclusive learning environment and collaborate with a supportive team to deliver Life Skills and core curriculum in a mainstream high school setting.

Qualifications

• Approval to teach special education and/or experience teaching students with Autism and Moderate Intellectual Disabilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate effectively within the team, fostering a culture of support for our students that extends beyond individual classrooms.
• Highly-developed skills in behavioural management, including the implementation of positive behavioural support systems, with a focus on student safety and wellbeing.
• Willingness and capability to teach across Life Skills curriculum, including Life Skills Stage 4 Creative Arts (Music and Art).
