Job summary

The Salvation Army Australia is seeking a talented Sales Assistant to support the Hilton Salvos Stores with day-to-day operations and to provide an inspiring in-store experience for our team, customers and community members. This permanent full-time role is located in Hilton, SA.

You will assist with retail sales, donations processing, merchandising, and delivering outstanding customer service while upholding TSA values. Flexibility to work weekends and across the retail area is required.

Qualifications

• Retail experience preferred; strong customer service is essential.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work across multiple locations and weekends.
• Alignment with TSA values: integrity, respect, compassion, collaboration, diversity.

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily store operations and POS device use.
• Sort, price and display donations in store.

About The Role:

Hilton Salvos Stores are seeking a talented, values-driven Sales Assistant to support the Store Manager with day-to-day operations and provide an inspiring in-store experience for our team, customers and community members. This is a permanent full-time role, located in Hilton, SA.

You Will Assist With:

• Retail sales and operation of Point-of-Sale devices.
• Collecting, sorting and pricing donations in store.
• Assist in the development and coordination visual merchandising and store presentation.
• Provide exceptional Customer Service.
• Display stock in correct departments, following policy and procedure.
• Follow Occupational Health and Safety policy and procedures.
• Demonstrate TSA core values in all work-related activities.

About You:

• Demonstrated experience in retail sales, while highly regarded, is not essential.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Genuine passion and proven ability to deliver outstanding results in a rewarding, complex retail environment.
• Alignment with the values of integrity, respect, compassion, collaboration, and diversity.
• High energy, hand-on individual with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Flexibly to work a rolling roster including weekends and preparedness to work across various locations in the retail area.
