Job summary

The Salvation Army Australia Warrnambool Store is seeking Sales Assistants to support the Store Manager and deliver an inspiring in-store experience for customers and the community. There are three permanent, part-time roles with rosters of 30.4, 13 and 12 hours per week.

The role covers retail sales, donation processing, merchandising and excellent customer service across locations in the retail area, complying with TSA values and policies.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail sales or strong customer service
• Ability to work a rolling roster including weekends

About The Role

Warrnambool Salvos Store are seeking talented, values-driven Sales Assistants to support the Store Manager with day-to-day operations and provide an inspiring in-store experience for our team, customers and community members.

We have 3 permanent, part-time roles available.

• 30.40 hours per week. Roster Monday -Thursday
• 13 hours per week. Roster is midweek and may include Saturdays
• 12 hours per week. Roster is midweek and may include Saturdays

Salary and conditions are in accordance with the Retail General Industry Award, Level 3.

You Will Assist With

• Retail sales and operation of Point-of-Sale devices.
• Collecting, sorting and pricing donations in store.
• Assist in the development and coordination visual merchandising and store presentation.
• Provide exceptional Customer Service.
• Display stock in correct departments, following policy and procedure.
• Follow Occupational Health and Safety policy and procedures.
• Demonstrate TSA core values in all work-related activities.

About You

• Demonstrated experience in retail sales, while highly regarded, is not essential.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Genuine passion and proven ability to deliver outstanding results in a rewarding, complex retail environment.
• Alignment with the values of integrity, respect, compassion, collaboration, and diversity.
• High energy, hand-on individual with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Flexibly to work a rolling roster including weekends and preparedness to work across various locations in the retail area.
