Job summary

Mini Masterminds Leichhardt is seeking a passionate Full-Time Room Leader to guide a dedicated classroom team and deliver high-quality education and care for 0-2 year olds, in a safe, nurturing environment.

You will mentor staff, plan engaging EYLF-aligned programs, support children's development, and collaborate with the Centre Leadership Team to uphold NQF/NQS standards and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• WWCC required (working with children).
• First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certifications required.
• Child Protection training/certificate required.
• Strong knowledge of EYLF, NQF and NQS.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor educators within your room and on-the-floor guidance.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate engaging EYLF-aligned educational programs.
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment for 0-2 children.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
• Ensure compliance with NQF, NQS and relevant legislation.
• Contribute to quality initiatives and centre-wide goals.
• Promote a collaborative, professional team culture.

About the Role

As Room Leader, you will lead your classroom team to deliver high-quality education and care while creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment where children can learn and thrive.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you will mentor educators, support children's learning and development, and work collaboratively with the Centre Leadership Team to maintain the highest standards of education and care.

About You

• Diploma or Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (ACECQA-approved)
• Previous Room Leader or leadership experience within an Early Childhood Education setting
• Current Working With Children Check (WWCC)
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis certifications
• Current Child Protection training/certificate
• Strong knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), National Quality Framework (NQF), and National Quality Standards (NQS)
• Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills
• A genuine passion for mentoring educators and delivering high-quality education and care
