Border Express Pty Ltd is hiring a Yard Person / Parcel Sorter for our Sunshine Coast, Corbould Park, branch. The role supports loading, unloading and sorting parcels for delivery in a day shift on AM hours from 7.00am to 3.00pm, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities include safe manual handling, sorting by postcode and destination, and coordinating with the team to meet schedules. The position requires transport industry experience, good initiative, and a strong work ethic.

Mansioni

• Examine parcels and allocate them for delivery by postcode, destination, and branch.
• Load/unload freight safely following manual handling processes.
• Communicate with team and supervisors to meet schedules and escalate issues.
• Load/unload freight onto conveyor belts and stack/wrap pallets.
• Sort freight and ensure accurate parcel placement.

Border Express currently has an opportunity available on our day shift for an experienced and motivated Yard Person /Parcel Sorterto join the team at our Sunshine Coast branch at Corbould Park.

This position is responsible for the loading, unloading and sorting of parcels into areas for delivery.

Success in this position will be measured by sortation accuracy resulting in zero parcels misdirected, deadlines for linehaul loading are met 100% of the time, NIL Damages to customers’ freight and freight is stacked packed and wrapped efficiently to facilitate linehaul loading.

Shift times are approx:

AM: 7.00am - 3.00pm - Monday To Friday

Finish times may be variable - eg longer hours during peak times or high volumes (Overtime rates would apply)

Duties:

• Examine each parcel and allocate it into an appropriate area for delivery; Via Postcode, Destination, and Branch;
• Ensure the manually load / unloadof parcels from pallets is done safely following correct manual handling processes;
• Communicate amongst your team and supervisors to meet agreed schedules, and escalates any issues in relation to processes, safety and operations.
• Loading/unloadingfreight onto a conveyor belt
• Stacking/wrappingpallets
• Sorting freight

Skills and Experience:

• Experiencein the transport industry;
• Ability to adhere to WHS and Safety Regulations;
• Excellent attitude, a good work ethic and reliability;
• A high level of physical fitness and the ability to perform repetitive lifting;
• Great local knowledge of Sunshine Coast and surrounding areas;
• Must possess great iniative and ability to work unsupervised;
