Melbourne Comprehensive Eye Surgeons in Bellfield, VIC is seeking a full-time Orthoptist to join our established team of Ophthalmologists and Orthoptists. The role offers variety across diagnostic testing, patient care and surgical support, with opportunities to grow skills within a busy practice.
Ideal candidates will hold a Degree in Orthoptics; new graduates are encouraged to apply. Strong communication, teamwork and a patient-centred approach are essential for success in this role.
We are seeking a full-time Orthoptist to join our established team at Melbourne Comprehensive Eye Surgeons, Bellfield VIC.
You will become part of a supportive team consisting of six Ophthalmologists, four Orthoptists and our administrative team. This is an excellent opportunity for an Orthoptist looking to build a rewarding long-term career in eye care.

The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work across various clinical presentations, gaining valuable experience in both diagnostic testing and day-to-day Ophthalmic care.
As a full-time Orthoptist, your role will involve a combination of clinical, diagnostic and supportive responsibilities. We value variety within the workplace and encourage our team to develop into well-rounded members of the practice, however primarily the role will be to fulfill the needs of the clinical needs of our surgeons.

Experience with high-tech diagnostic equipment such as OCT, Visual Fields, A-scan/IOL calculations and Pentacam would be advantageous, but is not essential.
We understand that every Orthoptist brings a different level of experience. Our team will provide on-the-job training and support during your initial 1–4 weeks, allowing you time to become familiar with our practice, systems and equipment.
You will work closely with our experienced team and have the opportunity to progressively build your confidence and capabilities in a supportive environment.
