Eye & Laser Centre Gold Coast is seeking a qualified Orthoptist for a full-time position in a dynamic ophthalmology practice. Join a multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality eye care and patient experiences in a modern facility.

You will conduct patient assessments, operate advanced diagnostic tools, and contribute to refractive and dry eye clinics while supporting surgical planning and clinic operations.

Qualifications

Qualified Orthoptist with a current practising certificate.
Experience in a multidisciplinary or ophthalmic practice is desirable.
Genie or Xestro software experience preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

Patient consultations and assessments.
Operating diagnostic tools (IOL Master 700, OCT, Pentacam, Visual Field).
Leading dry eye and refractive clinics.
Assisting with in-clinic minor procedures (retinal and oculoplastic).
Surgical planning and lens calculations.
Pre and post operative patient management.
Clinical audits and involvement in research.
Sterilisation protocols and administration tasks.

About you

We are looking for a motivated and passionate Orthoptist to join our collaborative team at Eye & Laser Centre Gold Coast on a full-time basis. If you are ready to make a real difference in patient care while working alongside leaders in the field, this is your chance!

Regular work hours are dependent on the Ophthalmologist’s schedules but are routinely Monday to Friday between the hours of 8:00am and 6:00pm.

Key responsibilities

You will play a key role in delivering first-class clinical care, supporting our doctors, and ensuring seamless clinic operations. Your day-to-day will include:
