Job summary

SDN Kensington is seeking a passionate Certificate III Educator to join our Nursery (0–2 years) on a permanent full-time basis (38 hours per week, Monday to Friday). You will build nurturing relationships, provide responsive care and support early learning in a warm, inclusive environment.

Candidates should have a Certificate III in ECE and preferably 6–12 months’ nursery experience, plus NSW Working with Children Check, First Aid/CPR, and food safety certification.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care is desirable
• Minimum 6–12 months work experience in an early childhood setting (nursery experience preferred)
• Current NSW Working with Children Check
• First Aid/CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis and Food safety certificates
• Knowledge of EYLF and NQS

Responsibilities

• Building nurturing, responsive relationships with children and families
• Providing responsive care including meals, sleep, toileting and daily routines
• Supporting children's learning, development and wellbeing through play-based experiences
• Assisting with observations, documentation and educational programming in line with EYLF
• Creating positive, safe, inclusive and engaging age-appropriate learning environments
• Demonstrating initiative and a proactive approach within the room
• Working collaboratively with the team to uphold the National Quality Standards and SDN's Child Safe practices
