Qualifications

• Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent)
• Minimum of 1 year relevant work experience in the automotive industry
• Strong technical knowledge of automotive systems, repairs, and diagnostics

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and locate mechanical faults in vehicle systems and engines
• Dismantle, inspect, and repair components such as engines, transmissions, and steering systems
• Carry out routine maintenance including oil changes, lubrication, and engine tuning to maintain performance
• Use computerised diagnostic tools to identify and resolve issues in modern vehicles
