Job summary

The City of Port Adelaide Enfield is seeking a passionate Horticulturist to join the Passive Reserves Team in Adelaide. This Full-Time Permanent role focuses on maintaining parks and reserves, mentoring colleagues, and applying horticultural expertise to complex tasks.

You will operate machinery and vehicles, contribute to safety during extreme weather, and build strong relationships with the community while delivering practical solutions.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or higher in Horticulture.
• Current C Class and MR Driver's Licence.
• 3 years or more experience in horticultural maintenance, irrigation systems and machinery operation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in the maintenance of parks, gardens and passive reserves.
• Apply your horticultural expertise to complex maintenance activities.
• Provide guidance and support to less experienced team members.
• Operate a variety of plant, equipment and vehicles.
• Contribute to community safety during extreme weather events.
• Work across diverse landscapes while helping protect our natural and heritage environments.
• Build positive relationships with community members and stakeholder.
• Take ownership of customer requests and deliver practical solutions.
