Job summary

New Start Early Learning Centre (operated by Kindy Castle Child Care Centre) in Minto NSW is seeking a passionate and reliable Child Care Worker to join our close-knit team on a full-time basis. This position requires a dedicated educator who demonstrates initiative, maintains strong relationships with children and families, and is willing to assist in service operations beyond classroom responsibilities.

Competitive salary of $80,000 per annum + superannuation.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or higher in Early Childhood Education and Care.
• Minimum 1 year of full-time experience in an early childhood setting.
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certifications (HLTAID012 or equivalent).
• Valid NSW Working with Children Check.
• Excellent knowledge of child development in 0–6 years and ability to plan relevant programs.
• Ability to work with leadership to plan and implement education and care programs.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of your allocated learning environment.
• Provide high-quality education and care aligned with EYLF and NQS.
• Ensure active, adequate supervision of children at all times.
• Develop holistic and culturally responsive education programs.
• Structure indoor and outdoor environments to balance active and passive learning.
• Assist in developing individual learning plans and documenting progress.
• Build warm, respectful relationships with children and families.
• Support children's wellbeing with positive guidance strategies.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and engaging learning environment.
• Contribute to team discussions and quality improvement efforts.
