Job summary

1300SMILES Upper Ross is seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to support chairside work with our dentists and team in Townsville. You will learn through a hands-on approach, assisting during general and restorative procedures, and participating in room setup and sterilisation.

The role offers a friendly workplace and opportunities for ongoing training, with rostered shifts Monday to Saturday within opening hours.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and pride in your work.
• Strong customer service skills, with a friendly, approachable manner.
• Clear and professional communication with patients and the team.
• Knowledge of infection control and sterilisation protocols, or a willingness to learn them.

Responsibilities

• Assisting dentists and clinicians chairside during procedures.
• Preparing and maintaining treatment rooms between appointments.
• Sterilising instruments and caring for dental equipment.
• Helping patients feel comfortable and well looked after.
• Pitching in with reception and admin tasks when things get busy.
