Accor Surfers Paradise is seeking a dedicated Commis Chef to join the busy kitchen brigade at the Gold Coast property. You will assist with daily food production, support senior chefs, and help maintain the highest standards of quality, safety and presentation in a fast-paced environment.

You'll work closely with a professional team to deliver memorable dining experiences for guests, with opportunities for growth through ongoing training and Accor Academies across the global network.

Qualifications

• Experience in a professional kitchen environment is required.
• Knowledge of food safety and workplace health and safety legislation is essential.
• Ability to work rotating rosters including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills are important.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food production ensuring consistency, presentation and quality.
• Cook dishes using correct methods and techniques.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety in the kitchen.
• Follow food safety guidelines and waste management procedures.
• Ensure proper storage, labeling and rotation of supplies.
• Support junior kitchen team members as needed.
• Contribute to a professional and collaborative kitchen culture.
• Maintain a positive, Can Do attitude and deliver high standards.
