Job summary

Coastal Group Engineering in Warnervale, NSW, is seeking a skilled fabricator to work across new builds, repairs, and modifications. You will weld, cut and fabricate using MIG, TIG, and stick and interpret engineering drawings.

You will fabricate structural steel, truck bodies and heavy vehicle components, perform repairs, operate workshop equipment safely and contribute to a productive workshop; WHS-focused and team-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade (Boilermaking) or equivalent; extensive relevant experience considered.
• Experience in truck body building or heavy vehicle fabrication.
• Strong welding skills across MIG, TIG and stick.
• Confidence reading and working from engineering drawings.
• Attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
• Reliability, punctuality and teamwork.
• A sound understanding of WHS and safe workshop practices.
• Forklift licence desirable or willingness to obtain one.

Based in Warnervale on the Central Coast, we combine engineering expertise with quality fabrication and precision workmanship to deliver projects from concept and design through to fabrication and completion.

About the role

You’ll work across new builds, repairs and modifications, using your fabrication skills to produce quality components and assemblies. Working alongside our engineers and workshop team, you’ll help bring projects from drawings through to completion.

Your responsibilities will include:

Welding, cutting and fabricating using MIG, TIG, stick and other suitable techniques

About You

Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade (Boilermaking), or an equivalent relevant trade qualification, highly preferred. Applicants with extensive relevant experience will also be considered.

Experience in truck body building or heavy vehicle fabrication, highly regarded

Strong welding skills across MIG, TIG and stick

Confidence reading and working from engineering drawings

Attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work

Reliability, punctuality and a positive approach to teamwork

A sound understanding of WHS and safe workshop practices

A forklift licence, desirable, or willingness to obtain one
