Job summary

Coastal Truck Services on the Central Coast is seeking skilled mechanics to service and repair trucks, trailers and heavy vehicle equipment at Warnervale. You will diagnose faults, perform scheduled servicing, and ensure safety and quality standards while supporting apprentices.

Qualified Light Vehicle Mechanics or apprentices looking to upskill into heavy vehicle work are encouraged to apply. The workshop offers a new purpose-built facility, stable full-time employment, and training

Qualifications

• Qualified Light Vehicle Mechanics encouraged to apply.
• Ability to diagnose and repair trucks and heavy vehicles.
• Forklift licence desirable.
• Work safely and comply with regulations.
• Current driver’s licence and reliable transport.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults across trucks and heavy vehicles.
• Complete scheduled servicing and inspections.
• Identify and carry out required repairs to a high standard.
• Maintain accurate service and repair records.
• Ensure all work meets safety and quality requirements.
• Support apprentices and junior mechanics.
• Collaborate with the workshop team to minimise downtime.

At Coastal Truck Services, we pride ourselves on being one of the Central Coast’s leading truck, trailer and equipment repair workshops. We provide a comprehensive range of services including heavy vehicle repairs and maintenance, auto electrical, air conditioning, tyres, registration inspections and defect clearances, providing our customers with a reliable one-stop shop for their fleet maintenance and repair needs.

With continued growth and a brand-new purpose-built workshop currently under development, we are looking for skilled Mechanics to join our team at Warnervale. We welcome applications from qualified Light Vehicle Mechanics looking to upskill and transition into the heavy vehicle industry.

What You'll Be Doing

As a key member of our workshop team, you’ll work across a diverse range of trucks, trailers and heavy vehicle equipment, with responsibilities including:

• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults across trucks, trailers and heavy vehicles
• Complete scheduled servicing, preventative maintenance and vehicle inspections
• Identify and carry out required repairs to a high standard
• Maintain accurate service and repair records
• Ensure all work meets safety, quality and compliance requirements
• Support apprentices and junior mechanics as required
• Working closely with the wider workshop team to minimise downtime and keep our customers' fleets moving

What We're Looking For

• Qualified Light Vehicle Mechanics and or apprentices looking to upskill into heavy vehicle mechanics are encouraged to apply.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Automotive Air Conditioning licence - highly regarded
• Sound knowledge of vehicle systems and repair procedures
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Strong communication and practical problem-solving skills
• Commitment to safety, compliance and quality workmanship
• Current driver’s licence and reliable transport
• Forklift licence - desirable
