Job summary

Akkodis Australia is seeking a skilled Full Stack Java Developer to join a high-performing team delivering enterprise applications. You will design, develop and support full stack solutions, collaborating with analysts and stakeholders in a fast-paced agile environment.

The role offers exposure to modern cloud technologies and enterprise-scale integration, with a long-term contract through to December 2027.

Qualifications

• Commercial experience as a Full Stack Developer is required.
• Strong Java with Spring and Hibernate knowledge.
• Front-end with HTML, jQuery, Bootstrap and React.
• Experience with .NET/C#, Python or R is desirable.
• Proficient in SQL and enterprise databases.
• Experience working in agile environments using JIRA.
• Good understanding of SDLC practices.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication.

The Role

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Full Stack Java Developer to join a high-performing development team.

You will work closely with business analysts, subject matter experts and technical stakeholders to design, develop and support enterprise applications and services. This role offers a blend of hands-on development, solution design, integration and delivery responsibilities within a fast-paced agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to define and document business requirements
• Design, develop, test and maintain complex applications using agreed standards and development frameworks
• Deliver scalable, robust and maintainable full stack solutions
• Contribute technical expertise to solution design and requirements analysis activities
• Develop effort estimates and manage assigned development deliverables
• Monitor progress and communicate risks, issues and dependencies
• Support application releases and manage development risks
• Participate in agile ceremonies, sprint planning and continuous improvement initiatives
• Support testing, deployment and integration activities across enterprise environments

What Our Client Requires

Essential Experience

• Proven commercial experience as a Full Stack Developer
• Strong Java development experience including Spring and Hibernate
• Front-end development experience with HTML, jQuery, Bootstrap and React
• Development experience using .NET C#, Python and/or R
• Experience working with SQL and enterprise database technologies
• Experience working within agile delivery environments using JIRA
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle practices
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills

Highly Regarded

• Experience with Azure Databricks, DB2 and enterprise data platforms
• Knowledge of Unix scripting
• Experience with SVN, Bamboo, Crucible or similar CI/CD and configuration management tools
• Experience using Cypress or equivalent automated testing platforms
• Experience with ETL technologies including SSIS or Azure Data Factory
• Knowledge of EBX and associated technologies including SOAP, CXF, APIs and JSON
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science or related discipline
