Job summary

PRA Brisbane is seeking a Full Stack Developer to join a delivery team building modern, cloud-native applications on AWS. This is genuine end-to-end work: you will move between React front-ends, Python services, API and event-driven integration, and the CDK code that stands it all up.

The platform is serverless and event-driven, with a strong focus on security, resilience and observability. You will work independently while collaborating with leads and architects, shaping design decisions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience.
• At least 2+ years building on AWS.
• Strong React and TypeScript skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain React and TypeScript web applications.

Our client is looking for a Full Stack Developer to join a delivery team building modern, cloud-native applications on AWS. This is genuine end-to-end work: you will move between React front-ends, Python services, API and event-driven integration, and the CDK code that stands it all up, rather than being boxed into one layer.

The platform is serverless and event-driven, with a strong focus on security, resilience and observability. You will work independently while collaborating closely with technical leads and architects, and your input will shape design decisions, not just implement them.

The role

• Build and maintain React and TypeScript web applications, including role-based business workflows
• Design and integrate REST APIs using OpenAPI, plus asynchronous event-driven integrations
• Build and maintain infrastructure in AWS CDK and contribute to CI/CD, testing and security practices
• Take part in code reviews, solution design and knowledge transfer to the team

What you'll bring

• 5+ years software development, with 2+ years building on AWS
• Strong React and TypeScript, with modern CSS and component libraries
• Python backend development on Lambda, API Gateway, EventBridge, SQS/SNS, DynamoDB and Aurora PostgreSQL
• Contract-first API design (OpenAPI) and OAuth 2.0, OIDC and JWT authentication
• AWS CDK and GitHub Actions or similar CI/CD, with automated testing built in
