Job summary

Talent Corp in Australia is seeking a versatile Full Stack Engineer to join a public sector digital development team. You will design, develop and support web and mobile applications using React, TypeScript, Node.js and AWS serverless technologies.

You will work across the full software development lifecycle, translating business requirements into secure, reliable software and maintaining high-quality technical documentation.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience with React, TypeScript and Node.js.
• Experience building and deploying in an AWS serverless environment.
• Hands-on experience developing AWS Lambda functions.
• Experience designing, developing and consuming RESTful APIs and integrations.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (SQL Server, DynamoDB).
• Solid understanding of SDLC practices including source control, testing and release management.
• Excellent documentation skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Full Stack Engineer - React, Node.js & AWS

Join a leading public sector organisation and help build the next generation of digital tools supporting its people and services.

Working within an experienced digital development team, you will design, develop and support web and mobile applications used across the organisation. This is primarily a full-stack engineering role, with a strong focus on React, Node.js, TypeScript and AWS serverless technologies.

The opportunity

You’ll work across the full software development lifecycle, translating business and technical requirements into secure, reliable and maintainable software solutions.

Alongside developing new applications and features, you’ll support an established portfolio of digital platforms through troubleshooting, optimisation and continuous improvement. You’ll collaborate with developers, business analysts, architects and stakeholders across technology and the broader organisation.

What we’re looking for

You’ll bring:

• Strong commercial experience with React, TypeScript and Node.js




• Experience building and deploying applications in an AWS serverless environment

• Demonstrated experience developing, deploying and supporting production applications




• A solid understanding of SDLC practices, including source control, code reviews, debugging, testing and release management




• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills




• Excellent documentation skills and close attention to detail




• The ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders




• A pragmatic approach to delivery in a fast-moving environment

Experience with React Native or mobile application development will be well regarded but is not essential.

Relevant qualifications in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline are preferred. Equivalent industry experience will also be considered.
