Job summary

Marina Radiology in Melbourne's south-eastern area is seeking a Radiographer/Medical Imaging Technologist to join a supportive team. The role offers full-time or part-time options, patient-centred care, and opportunities to advance in cardiac CT and MRI pathways.

Applicants must hold a degree in Medical Radiation Science and current AHPRA registration with Victorian Radiation Use Licence; MRI experience is a plus. We value accuracy, communication, and compassionate care in a busy imaging service.

Qualifications

• Holds a degree in Medical Radiation Science or equivalent.
• Current AHPRA registration and Victorian Radiation Use Licence.
• MRI experience is a plus and supported by development opportunities.
• Demonstrates excellent patient care, communication and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of imaging procedures including general, dental and CT imaging.
• Maintain high image quality while adhering to radiation safety standards.
• Provide compassionate patient care throughout the imaging journey.
• Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care.
• Maintain accurate PACS records and documentation.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with industry advances.

What You'll Do

• Perform a wide range of imaging procedures - including general, dental and CT imaging procedures
• Ensure top-notch image quality while maintaining strict radiation safety standards
• Provide high-quality, compassionate patient care throughout their imaging journey
• Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care
• Maintain accurate and detailed PACS records
• Participate in continuous professional development to stay abreast of industry advancements

What we're looking for

• Degree in Medical Radiation Science or equivalent
• Current AHPRA registration and Victorian Radiation Use Licence
• MRI experience is a plus (but not essential - over time we can help you get there!)
• Excellent patient care skills and the ability to put patients at ease
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Confidence in using a variety of medical imaging systems and software
