Emerald Carrying Company (ECC) is hiring Safety-Focused MC Fuel Tanker Drivers to join the Mackay team, delivering diesel to mining sites. You’ll operate modern road trains, prioritise safety and on-time deliveries, and participate in in-house training.

We offer 5/5/5 and 7/7 rosters, 12-hour shifts, and competitive hourly rates with allowances. Previous fuel tanker experience is welcome but not essential; strong safety and presentation standards are expected.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted MC licence and Road Ranger experience.
• Strong commitment to safe driving practices and fatigue management.
• DG licence or willingness to obtain one; working rights in Australia.
• Willingness to undergo pre-employment medical assessments and screenings.

Responsabilités

About the Role

We are currently seeking Safety-Focused MC Fuel Tanker Drivers to join our Mackay team, delivering predominantly diesel fuel to mining operations throughout Mackay and the surrounding regions.

Operating modern, well-maintained road trains, you will play an important role in keeping Queensland's mining industry moving by ensuring fuel is delivered safely, efficiently and reliably.

With opportunities available across our 5/5/5 and 7/7 rosters, this is an excellent opportunity to join an established transport business offering structured rosters, competitive pay and long-term employment.

Roster & Remuneration

Enjoy a structured roster and the opportunity to build a rewarding career with ECC.

• 5/5/5 roster: 5 day shifts, 5 night shifts and 5 non-rostered days.
• 7/7 roster: 7 rostered shifts followed by 7 non-rostered days.
• 12-hour shifts, subject to operational requirements.
• B-Double rate: $58.23 per hour.
• A-Double rate: $60.67 per hour.
• Competitive hourly rates, applicable allowances and weekly pay.
• Additional shifts may be available during non-rostered periods, providing opportunities to increase your earnings.

About You

We are looking for drivers who share our commitment to safety, professionalism and maintaining the high standards ECC is known for.

To be successful, you will have:

• A current, unrestricted MC licence with Road Ranger experience.
• A strong commitment to safe driving practices and fatigue management.
• A professional attitude and pride in your presentation, equipment and work.
• The ability to follow site procedures, safety requirements and delivery protocols.
• A current Dangerous Goods (DG) licence, or a willingness to obtain one.
• Full, unrestricted working rights in Australia.
• A willingness to undergo pre-employment medical assessments, including Drug and Alcohol Screening.
• A willingness to provide National Criminal History and Traffic History Reports.

Previous fuel tanker experience is advantageous but not essential for the right candidate.
