Job summary

Healthcarelink Support in Sydney is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Recovery/PACU team. Both full-time and part-time roles are available in a leading Australian healthcare network and hospital setting.

You will deliver safe nursing care, supervise ENs and AINs, and educate patients on recovery and end-of-life needs while leading quality improvement initiatives and collaborating with the wider team.

Qualifications

• 2 years RN experience in Recovery/PACU nursing with orthopaedics, neurosurgery, spinal, urology or OR ENT experience.
• Authority to work in Australia.
• Working with Children check.
• Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent and current AHPRA registration.
• Compliance with ACQSHC National standards and high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care.
• Supervise, direct and guide ENs and AINs to deliver patient care.
• Educate individuals on recovery, rehabilitation or end-of-life needs.
• Lead quality improvement and safety projects to improve outcomes.

  We are currently seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join our Recovery/PACU team with Full-time positions. Work to suit your lifestyle with a supportive team. You will play a key role within a supportive team in ensuring high levels of patient care are provided.

  As a Registered Nurse – Recovery/PACU, your responsibilities will include:

  • Deliver safe, researched-based standards of nursing care
  • Supervise, direct and guide nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Assistants in Nursing (AINs) to deliver patient care
  • Deliver education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation or end-of-life needs
  • Led successful quality improvement and safety management project/s to deliver desired outcomes
  • Work collaboratively with the wider healthcare team to support patient care needs
  • Act as a role model for Safe Practice

  About You

  • 2 years RN experience in Recovery/PACU Nursing with experience in one of the following specialties: Orthopaedics, Neurosurgery, Spinal, Urology, OR ENT surgery
  • Authority to Work in Australia
  • Working with Children check
  • Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent
  • Current Registration (no restriction) with AHPRA
  • Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
  • Clinical expertise and commitment to high quality patient care and continuous improvement
  • Self-motivated and proven ability to work as part of a high functioning team
